Inline mesurement system is where liquid-borne particle counter is connected usually via bypass from pure water or chemical supply line to measure and monitor the number of particles continuously. To make sample go through the sensor at controlled flow rate, flow controller with pressure from supply line or bellows sampler is used.
Advantage of using inline measurement is the reduction of the risk of contamination from sampling, dirty containar, touching the end of tube. Sample can be measured continuously to show the trend of particles in the sample, making it easier to detect anomalies. Also once it is set, measurement is done automatically so it can save man power.
Disadvantage of inline measurement is that the sample and place will be fixed. Unless the supply line is interchangable, it is not suitable for customers who would want to measure diffierent samples. Moving from one place to another is also difficult as supply line may have not enough pressure for the flow. Inline measurement system is mainly used for pure water supply line, cleansing liquid in the washing tank, and checking the status of filters.
